Urinating while sleeping

We recently adopted a 3 year old JRT. She is a peach and we love her, but when she goes into deep sleep, she urinates, once while on a friends lap. Is this common to the breed, possibly a Urinary Tract issue, we're seeing the vet soon, but just curious if this is common? If anyone has experienced similar issues, please let me know how or if this was resolved.
