Kaos the dog is he a Jack Russell?

Here is Kaos in hunt mode and on the coach. He is lovable, exuberant and will eat all good food - this little guy loves to eat! He listens well and is such a happy dog. My question is the extra fur on the ears and around the hind quarters. His tail fur is long too although it was bobbed. He is a rescue so we don't know the full history. We would appreciate your input.
