Parker the Most Popular Jack Russell Terrier in Town
by Steve Wiles
I've had dogs all my life. When I got Parker I had no idea that my life was going to change dramatically. His intelligence was actually unbelievable. He knows so many tricks and has exceptional talents in soccer, jumping hurdles, swimming, climbing trees, doing all kinds of things on cue, blowing bubbles outside and trying to get all of them before they hit the ground, trying to talk and whatever he want he demands it now.
I think the wife and I live at his house. The only thing is that I didn't teach him anything. He just learns it quick on his own. It's like he is a human. I love this dog more than I can explain. He is 10 years old and just as strong and energetic as when he was 1 year old. His the best friend I ever had.
My name is Benson & I will be two years old in December. I am a real handfull 96% of the time. My owners James & Sam have a hard job taming me but they love me all the same. My favourite things too do is play catch, give kisses & sleep! I also like trying to irritate dogs much bigger than me, for example my step brother Bailey the bull terrier. I picked a picture of the two of us too show you!
Shelby is a 2 1/2 year old Parsons JRT who loves everyone. She travels a lot, whether it is to visit her big brother Jeff in Concord, NC, her other brother Tom who lives in Chicago near Wrigley Field or to her cabin in the north woods of Wisconsin near Minocqua. She loves to do agility and plans on taking her Mom to her first trial in 2012 if Mom can get all her moves right. After all Shelby already knows what to do!!!
From the day he was born, Einstein, our Jack Russell, has brought nothing but joy and love into our home. He has grown to become the constant companion of my niece, who has multiple sclerosis. He is a boating and Corvette enthusiast and loves to hang out on the Tiki Bar, earing him the nickname, "Barfly."
These are some pictures of my 12 week old puppy Boden. He is a rescue dog from the RSPCA, he was found at three weeks old wandering around eating tin foil and had mange. :( Poor puppy! I fell deeply in puppy love the moment i saw him! My parents came to meet him a couple of days later and fell in love with him instantly, so we signed up to take him home! I visited him every day at the RSPCA until the day came when I could finally bring him home. He won us all over with a very sorry look in his eyes but as soon as he was in the house he was bounding around with a new zest for life. He couldn't believe his luck! And neither could I!
He has turned in to a very cheeky little puppy since moving in, he is thrilled to be gallivanting around the house and his favourite things are the dishwasher, the fridge and the bin! He loves to put his paws over the side of the bin and find out what it's all about! He is besotted with it!
He loves to be cuddled when he's not skidding about all over the house and will happily lie in our arms like a baby!
He gets a lot of fuss anywhere he goes, he's had a great time meeting lots of new doggies in the park, and hopefully he'll master the concept of walking on a lead soon!
It's so sad to see dogs in the RSPCA without homes, especially baby dogs and especially at Christmas time. I'm proud to have given a rescue dog a forever home. He is the gift that keeps on giving, every morning I can't wait to see him. We all love Boden very much.
