Jack Russell Ears

I have a female Jack Russell that is 6 months old. Her ears stand up. They did not stand up when she was younger. Sometimes when she is asleep I can bend them down and they stay for a while. Do you think her ears will ever lay down again? I got a JR because my son has one and she has such a pretty face with ears that lay down.

Hi, my jack is 3,5 months now and since he was 3 months both ears stood up, we thought that it would remain like this but recently, one folded over totally, and the other stands up still. who knows what will happen later....

if your jack russel was fead puupy food after 3 months its possible for the ears to stand up as to much protein also can be in their genes as i have one whos ears are satelite dshes

i have a jack who is almost 2yrs old.His ears are standing up.I don't think I want them to be any other way.When I talk to him they go around like radar,then I know he is listening.He's so cute and smart.

our jrt's ear have always stood straight up. the only time her ears layed down, was when she was a puppy of 6 wks. by her 10 th week they stood straight up and that's where they have stayed.
now that we've had her this long i really don't think we want her ears to fall. to darn cute.

I think it is possible for teething to affect puppies ear carriage. If your puppy is still teething at 6 months, maybe this is affecting the way her ears are. It might be worth a bit of investigation, and they may return to normal after her adult teeth are all through. My pups ears seem to change daily, and she is only 4 months old!

our jrt is 14 months and her ears are that way.
i do believe they are called fox ears,and they will always stand up. so this is what i hear
