Yogi Beara NEW
by: Crystal

My Yogi Beara is 6 years old maltese/jack russel mix. The mom and dad were at the house and Yogi was the second litter and free. He was born right before Katrina and traveled with us all over the state until we settled back at home. We love him to pieces. He is a great dog except he has many issues. Starting with seizures since a pup-he takes Pheno, skin problems, thyroid problem-meds for that and lastly cataracts. No matter what it takes to keep him healthy and happy, he loves us and we love him and he is the cutest!

My little man...
by: Sharon Jo

Seumas McGee came into my life about a year ago as a puppy who needed to be rehomed. He is by far the best companion I have ever had. He sleeps with me, goes everywhere with me. He loves to ride on my shoulders in the car and will sit there for hours. He seldom barks. He is left alone all day while I am at work and he is not destructive. And he's SO happy to see me when I get home. He lays on my lap and he cuddles better than anything. At a year old he only weighs about 6 lbs. He does shed quite a bit, but he loves to be combed, so it's not a big deal. He is so bright. He seems to understand every word I say. I'd love to have another, but he is so possessive of me, I don't think he'd be happy to have another around. I truly love Seumas, my little man.

Mussle...
by: Charlie and Boone's Mom

I have a Jack Russel / Maltese mix and my husband calls him a "mussel" ... I know right?! Well, whatever you want to call him he is awesome! He has the snuggle parts of a maltese and the playful smarts of a Jack Russell. I would get another one of them in a heartbeat.

My other dog is a golden/ corgi mix (at least that's our guess) but we sometimes say he's a mini golden to sound fancy at the dog park! In all reality he is a pound puppy who won my heart!

Maltese Jack Russel Mix
by:

We have a maltese/jack russel mix and I also don't know what to call her. She is black with white and her hair length is medium, not as long as a pure maltese and it is very soft. When we trim her fur down it gets even softer. A friend of ours breeds those and sells them for $600.oo

Pleased with Jackteses
by: Linda J.

I was afraid of what these dogs would turn out
to look like. They weren't planned and I had
a feeling they would look wiry or like very
hairy rats. They are three weeks old and have
the appearance of little Jersey cows with
bear-like faces. They are also very sturdy
and vocal. Their mother was the Jack Russel.
There are two boys and two girls. Two will
have slightly longer hair than the other two.
They're absolutely adorable. The mother is
tan and white but there are two puppies who
are tri-colored with dark brown spots also.
One or both of their mother's parents must
have been tri-colored. I was very surprised
at the outcome. People are pushing me for
these puppies but they want me to give them
away. I have no idea of what they sell for.
Could someone give me an idea?

What we call ours...
by: Chris W.

When we got our Jack Russell x Maltese the lady told us that they were called Jack Malts. I see on some of these other pages that they're also known as Jack-tese.

Whle the latter seems more formal and is probably correct, We have definately come upon a very special breed of dog.

Good Luck!
