How long does a JRT stay in heat?

Our JRT is almost a year old and I think she is in heat. Can anyone tell me how long it lasts and is there anything I can do to cover her while she is bleeding? I tried a diaper w/ a hole cut out for her tail but that didn't work too well lol Thanks!

I have an 8 month old JRT when she started her cycle my husband and I put a pull up on her with a hole cut out for her tail and that happened to work pretty good
