Destructive Jack Russell

I have a 9 month old jack Russell and when we put him into his kennel at night will scratch and bite at the door until the door is now falling apart.Also when my husband leaves for work in the morning the dog will run back and forth outside even when it is raining as if he is looking for him,then when i go out to him he acts scared as if i am going to punish him.Please,if you can help with anything i would be very happy.
