We have just built a property on a old farm and have seen several rats we have been advised that JRT's are the ideal dog to choose to sort this problem out.

Hello,
I own two of the breeds that are absolutely magnificent for this job. The first is the Rat Terrier and the other of course, is the Jack Russell Terrier. They will clean your rats out within a very short time, but you must let them dig to get to some of these critters.
It's a natural instinct for them to want to get at these. Also, just having them urinate/potty around the area will cause the rats and mice to relocate.
Let me know how things go with this and I would recommend getting a Rescue Rat/JRT dog. And the females seem abit more aggressive at this task of hunting critters.
