how can i help my 14 mth jrx be better toward my boisterous 3 year old?? we have just bought her and shes a little bit nervous with men and children

As you have only just got the dog it is very early days and it will need time to settle, but you must also teach your child that the dog is not a toy, and must treat the dog with respect,do not let him pull the dog about in any way, if your child is rough with the dog the dog will react which is only natural, so it's a case of educating both the dog and the child, but do it with kindness.
