Jack Russell Dogs in Movies of TodayThis site won't attempt to cover the many Jack Russell dogs in movies that are out there today, but I will list some of them just to give a taste of how popular this little pooch is to Hollywood.
As TV Guide describes the movie... "A feisty little dog with a visual impairment can hardly help but be funny, and Barkley walks into walls, smacks into car windows, misses his dog door, and overshoots his food bowl with slapstick aplomb that would be the envy of many two-legged comics. Barkley was such a surprise hit with audiences and critics that later Clean Slate I haven't seen this movie but after reading this review I certainly will. Can't see nearly enough of Jack Russell dogs in movies.
But this same Barkley is perhaps better known as Rimshot of the wacky and hilarious movies Ernest Goes To Jail And if you've never seen these movies you're missing out one of the neatest Jack Russell dogs in movies. Rimshot really keeps you laughing.
Then there's My Dog Skip Moose also helped play the part of Skip in the movie. From the book written by Willie Morris and starring Frankie Muniz, this is a great movie too. Enzo, or Skip, is just phenomenal.
"A shy boy is unable to make friends in Yazoo City, Mississippi in 1942, until his parents give him a terrier puppy for his ninth birthday. The dog, which he names Skip, becomes well known and loved throughout the community and enriches the life of the boy, Willie, as he grows into manhood. Based on the best-selling Mississippi memoir by the late Willie Morris." I know my family loved it. But it's a tear-jerker, be ready for that. Skip stands as one of my favorite dogs in movies. And kids, Skip has a wonderful website that has more great pictures, games, contests, and everything you wanted to know about Skip and the movie. Here it is...
My Dog Skip.WarnerBros.Com There's a cute Jack Russell in Crimson Tide Then there's Stupid who was the Jack Russell in Steve Martin's outrageous movie The Jerk
Yes Jack Russell Terriers are Hollywood's favorite kind of dogs in movies. And what else would we as Russell lovers expect? After all, there's just no other dog, whether in Hollywood or in his own little bed in a home like mine or yours, there's just no other dog like the Jack Russell dog.
