I have a 3 year old female. Ny son take care of him because I cannot have her at my new apartment.

She was a little overweight but looks wonderful because I gave her Purina weight control.

I went to visit her and now she looks too skinny.

What is a healthy weight for my Jack Russel.

Editor Suggestion - Healthy Weight for a Jack Russell Terrier

Hi Marie,

A healthy weight for a Jack Russell Terrier can vary depending on factors such as age, activity level, and individual genetics. Typically, the weight range for a healthy adult female Jack Russell Terrier is between 13-17 pounds (6-8 kilograms).

If you are concerned about your dog's weight, it's important to consult with a veterinarian. They can assess her overall health and determine if she is indeed underweight or if there are any underlying health issues that need to be addressed.

As you mentioned, to maintain a healthy weight, it's essential to feed your dog a balanced diet that meets her nutritional needs and to provide her with regular exercise. You can also talk to your veterinarian about a diet plan specifically tailored to your dog's individual requirements.

Best,
