future jack russell owner

I'm not real smart on jack russell dogs but have always loved their temperament and it seems they are very smart.Is there a short legged jack and a long legged jack please let me know you can reach me at steven_s@windstream.net and thanks for your help also I have a 5 yr old husky mix would it be a good idea to get a jack now or should I wait.
