By about 4 months, we had figured out that our wiry broke coated jrt was a broken coat type. I had no idea when we got her at 7 weeks because we didn't see her parents. At 7 weeks she was fuzzy but it was short. It kept getting longer and coarser as time went by. She is shorter haired in the summer and fall and really fills out a lot during the winter. I use a Furminator deshedder on her in the spring and summer. If I use it too much, you can see through a little to her pink spotted skin. We live in Houston though so it's important that she stays cool. :)
