JRT and his weight

my 2 year old jrt weighs 22 lbs. the vet says he is not overweight. He has no fat and is very muscular. Isn't he sort of large for a JRT?

it depends on what type of JRT you have. my JRT's are the shorty's and one is 24 pounds which is over weight and the other is 18 pounds which is not overweight. if you have a Parson Russell Terrier, which is the larger JRT it may not be over weight it depends on which variety you have. The Parson Russell has longer legs that is how you can tell the difference between them.

My 3 Yr old Jack Russell weights about 24LBS and she is overweight. :)

I have a JRT that is only 10mths old and he is 18lbs already and not an ounce of fat on him at all. Believe it or not he is a shorty.
