My jack is white with a tan face, spot on his back, and tail. His tan face and spot are turning white.

Color Capers by: Charlene and Mike (Mee-kah)
Typically most puppies keep their original coloration, but sometimes they do develop more spots or different colors. I think that my Jack gained 1 or 2 spots extra on her lower back...

I got my jack russell when she was about 7 weeks and she had brown eye patches, one brown patch on each side and a patch around her tail. After a few months she got two extra little brown spots on her back and one on her snout. The black spots all over her skin (that are visible on the belly or if you look under the hair) got much darker as she got older too. They are black now. The new spots she got seem to come from the black spots that got darker when she got older. Also, her original large patches have changed their shape somewhat.
