Why does my JRT keep growling and showing teeth

This is Peggy

My JRT Peggy keeps growling when my daughters picks her up or cuddles her but not me, and when we go near her bed in the kitchen she shows her teeth and doesn't let us past. I get really angry at her because I don't know what to do, sometimes it is very frightening, but once out of her bed she is very loving. Then if she is on my lap and I try to move her to get up, she growls again?? I am so confused by her behavior. She gets angry when we go out, but when we return she lets us near or even in her bed for a cuddle.
