Trixie's Mama

by Tina Richardson
(San Antonio, Texas)

We have a wonderful Jack Russell named Trixie. She is 2 years old and is very petite weighing in at 9 pounds. Trixie has a strange habit of attacking her hind legs. Occasionally she will do it spontaneously. Whenever we pet her near her tail, she whips around and starts attacking herself. It is bizarre and disturbing. Any insight to what may be her problem?

nerves?
by: Anonymous

She might be having some kind of pain or nerve problem since the nerve branches for the lower part of the body spread out from around the tail or lower spinal column area. You should definitely talk to a vet. They have a specialist you could go to. It only cost us $100 USD to get a second opinion from a specialist (in Houston)
