seizures cause, symptoms and treatment

(TEXAS)

My Pitbull is 5 yrs old has been suffering of attacks making her difficult to breathe and suffocating herself with her own saliva, the last one was yesterday.

after the attack she seemed disorientated. We believe the cause is seizures.
What can we do and how it can be prevented?
We are really concern... Even we have asked, never have received any response about this from our Vet.
Any kind of information will be useful, thanks for your answer.

I also agree maybe you need a new vet--My Beagle has attacks where she seems like shes choking and can't breath and my vet says its allergies, I would get a new Vet and have a good check up--choking and being not able to breath I'm sure are very scary for your poor doggie. Good Luck.

My daughter has a Lab that has problems with her throat, not siezures. Can't imagine the vet wouldn't know what to tell you. Maybe you should get a new vet!
