Rob Harvey: Dublin the Jack Russell

by RobHarvey

I've a female Jack Russell who is only 3/4months old and she has begun to lose some of her teeth.

She has lost 6 that I know of although she may have lost others while out on walks etc. I'm just wondering is it normal for this to happen? Are they just "puppy teeth" that are being pushed out by permanent teeth?

Cheers,
RobH

Normal
by: Barbara

Hi Rob, Your little JRT is going through the normal routine of losing baby teeth and growing adult teeth. Nothing to be concerned about. I still have my Bridget's baby teeth. Having soft chew toys will help the process and the need to gnaw. Just enjoy! It's part of growing up!

teeth

My JRT puppy Jill is 6months old and when I took her to get spayed, the vet said all of her adult teeth had already come in except for one - and she showed me the hole where the tooth hadn't come in yet. So yes - your dog's teeth will come out and the new ones will come in.

I DO NOT HAVE MUCH EXPERIENCE FROM MY PROTEAS BUT I THINK THAT HE IS GOING TO CHANGE ALL HIS TEETH. IN PROTEAS I FOUND ONLY ONE TOOTH IN THE SOFA THE OTHER DO NOT KNOW WHAT HAPPENED.
