My Young JRT Is Getting Gray Early

My JRT is 3yrs old and is getting gray hair around his eyebrows and muzzle. A friend of mine suggested that my dog is either depressed or getting sick. Is it premature graying or is it something I should be worried about?

My JRT started going gray at about that age. He's 9 now. I think it's pretty normal.
