My jack russel is a protector

We have a wonderful Jack Russell that protects my daughter who is about a year old. Whenever she hears my daughter crying she goes to check on her. Also my brother in law, whenever he comes into the house, she barks at him then after she stops barking watches closely how he interacts with my daughter. My daughter is too young to know how to treat a dog, but Baby is very patient with my daughter. I love my Jack Russell. She is my favorite dog I have ever had and she is so smart too
