Hi!

I have a 3 month old puppy named Dauphine. Have had her three weeks and am exhausted and stressed. How often should she get vigorous exercise? I exercise her every two hours. She naps in the morning and afternoon. Am I doing the right thing? We went to petsmart and she charged at the larger dogs. Loves people. Am concerned about her socialization. I am at home all day.

Yes you are doing the right thing, play and walks and lots of them, and a dog park is a good idea. and if you can find a agility class in you area, give that a try. my jack loves it, i stared him out at 5 month.

Hi Kerry!

Mila gives great advice. Looks like you've got a typical Jack Russell. And what a beautiful one. Why didn't you enter her in December's Jack-of-the-Month?

Try applying Mila's tip, sounds as if she does need some socializing...and quick. If not, take her to a park, a dog park if you have one nearby.

Do you have a friend with a dog? Invite them over.

Get that dog a friend!

If there is another dog in the neighborhood,
ask if they could have playtime together. This would help with socialization as well as tire your dog out and not you. Also, the neighbor may be grateful
