Litter Size

Is there any way to tell how many puppies our JRT will have? She is not even a year old yet and pretty tiny (she was the runt of the litter). She is getting so big she looks ready to burst.

puppies having puppies!

No dog should have pups before a year of age. If you read the literature, it is recommended that a female not be bred until 18 months of age!
That is to protect the health of the female and her litter. The vet can do an x-ray to determine the number of unborn pups, but still can have surprises. JRT lover in Texas
