Jack Russell constantly hungry

My 11 year old Jack Russell 'Molly' is constantly hungry and getting terribly overweight. She weights 8.5 kilos. She is well fed and was satisfied with 100 grams of canned dog food daily but now wants 200 grams and still hungry! Also has litte dog biscuits throughout the day that I'm trying to cut out. Has a daily walk but she is slowing down considerably due to her weight I think. What can I do because I am too soft and give in to her too easily, and that's not good. It's a problem. Thank you for any advice you can give me.

I had her checked out by the vet and she did have Cushing's Disease. The vet put her on medication and all was going quite well until she developed renal failure and from then on it
was downhill and very traumatic for her. Sadly, I had to have her put to sleep - the one last kind and loving act I could do for the dear little thing.

Could be Cushing's disease. One of the signs is hunger. Thinking this is what my 12 year old jack has.

That's a good question. No, she hasn't been checked by a vet and now you mention it, she does drink a lot of water each day too. Usually a sign of diabetes. Will check it out. Thanks.

Has your vet checked her blood sugar?
