Jack Russell and Work

Thinking of getting a Jack Russell and I leave the house at 8:30am and can come home for an hour at 12:00pm till 1:00pm and then get back at 5:15pm. The total time is 3 1/2 hours in the morning and about 4 hours in the afternoon.


Is it OK to leave a dog that long, will he be OK?

This should be fine. We used [Wife does not work any more] to leave our little girl from nine in the morning to five in the evening. She did have access to outside yard via a doggy door, but seemed to spend most of her day sleeping on our bed. When we got home it was time for walks, ball games etc and she was full on till we went to bed which she snuggles in with us.
