Food Allergy
by: Sarah K

Hi,

When I first got my 1.5yr old Jack Russell from a girl in my town she had her and when I met her her hair from her back was missing from excessive biting. They had been feeding her Ol'Roy dog food. I took her to the vet and found out she had a food allergy to corn, wheat and soy. So I switched her to the pink Blue Buffalo bag for adults witch is wheat, corn and soy free her skin cleared up in two weeks and has been itch free for a year !

if she has an allergic reaction to something, try giving her some benadryl, children's form try smaller dose 1st and if it seems to help give her a little more. My Jack has allergies and it works for her.

itching and biting

I have mentioned this before to other's with the same complaint. It worked for me, so good luck. Saturate a cotton ball or a wad of cotton with hydrogen peroxide and massage it into the affected areas. Repeat 2 or 3 times a day. It worked for me in one day. After my Roxy had pups she was tearing at her tail and had it raw and hairless. This did the trick for me in a day or two. I have used the same procedure for a group of red blotches on her underbelly (poison ivy ??) and again it worked. So, good luck.
