Hot Spots Turned Staph Infections

Hello,

We have recently adopted a 2 year old male jack. He is our third to own, so I am pretty familiar with the breed. However, Indy has literally bitten the insides of his hind legs raw, way beyond a hot spot. The vet gave him antibiotics but he will not stop chewing on them. The minute the cone comes off his head, he runs, hides and starts chewing!

Any suggestions?
