Ms. Laura, are there any other pictures of Gracie, perhaps ones that show a profile of her head? From this picture her head looks slightly more shaped as a different kind of dog than mentioned. It is a more chiseled look than most smaller dogs tend to have. Perhaps it is just lighting. But could you please send Marc some more pictures of her (such as a profile) that may lead to more clues??

Your Basset got busy one night with a female Jack. To the comment on maybe a Great Dane...NOT!!! I CAN ASSURE YOU THAT YOUR BASSET DID NOT HOOK UP WITH A GREAT DANE

There might be a smidge of JRT in her...but she looks more like a great dane. You don't have any information from previous owners or owners of the parents? Did you adopt her in puppy years or adult? For if you got her from a Humane Society, she may have been abused and altered her appearance as well. Let me know what you find out!!!!!
