The next funny dog poem was sent to me from Jo'elle Longet, a lover of Jack Russells and who has honored us with one of her creations. Thank you Jo'elle for such a neat poem.

This poem might sound familiar to some Little Jack owners. It does to me!

I really need more poems to add to this page. Please send me your poetry.

Perhaps you've lost your Jack and you wrote some verses in memory of that little spirit. Poetry has a way of touching us like no other medium.

You can send them to us by submitting them using the form at the bottom of this page.

Oh My Bad Little Jack!

Who do you see prancing down the street?
Short but muscled up for all to see.
Oops! a neighbor is getting him off his cat!
Oh my bad, my bad little Jack.

Here comes the UPS truck, oh my.
Gonna be trouble for the driver inside.
Maybe he'll remember to watch his back,
Oh my bad, my bad little Jack.

Oh little squirrel don't you know by now
That my little Jack will chase you down?
Run! Run! get up the tree fast!
Oh my bad, my bad little Jack!

Uh oh, here comes dear old Mr. Sims.
Will little Jack nip at his heels again?
Most of my friends don't ever come back!
Oh my bad, my bad, my bad,
My very, very, bad little Jack!

There is a cute little dog that lives next door, He is so smart and sweet, And when he sees you come outside, He runs up and sits by your feet. When I see him he makes me smile, His disposition can't be beat, You just want to give him a hug, And also give him a treat. I hope one day I can have a dog, He is a Jack Russell Terrier, Because every day is so much fun, And he makes life so much merrier.

I'm leaving this page open for more Jack Russell poetry, be it funny dog poems, or serious poems of grief and adoration.

All I know is my readers have been begging me for more!

So send them on to us by filling out the form on the bottom of this page.

Here's the latest and greatest funny dog poem! And sent to me by the little sweetheart you see in the nice pic above holding her JRT Raven, Patricia Feria, aged 10 from Auckland New Zealand. Oy?

Little Dog....
Big Heart!

A bundle of mischief
Who loves to play
And sleep as well
Throughout the day

Wagging its tail
And nose sniffing stuff
A tiny dog
But in heart, very tough

A family pet
A dog like no other
Just like
A sister or brother

Cuddling up
Close to you
A good best friend
Bold and true

That's how
I describe
A Jack Russell Terrier
Full of life!

Author ~ Patricia Feria ~

And that's how I'd describe a Jack Russell Patricia. Thank you so much for such an adorable poem.

I own more than a few framed art prints from Amazon.com. Their artwork is great looking and looks beautiful hanging on the walls in my house.
