Black splodges on fur

I have an all white JR Pup, who has developed small black splodges on her back which have spread so much that she looks like a pale Dalmatian. The Vet said she would stay white. How much more coloring is she likely to get? She was born at the end of June 2010

Lucy was born pure white with a tan patch over one ear and eye. She is now 1 year and has light brown marks all over her body. We too thought how strange,. but she has her own identity now, and we love her spots x

THIS IS PERFECTLY NORMAL FOR JRT'S!

Hello,

This happens to ALL JRT's and some more than others. Your VET was maybe refering to the fact that black spots on the top coat might appear. These spots are from the top layer of skin.
My JRT has them and all of our doggie JRT friends have them. They don't show up when they are born, but later.
They are not a problem, just what we call beauty spots on our JRT's and mixes.
