Apache advertises for Coleman stoves

Apache is 8 years old. After our other Jack Russel died, we decided to wait before deciding whether or not to get another. We soon began looking at pet stores 'just for fun.' What's the harm of looking as there would never be a Jack Russel terrier in a pet store in south Texas, right? WRONG! We immediately fell in love with her as we played with her in the private room. We decided to head home and forget about the cute little Jack we already named Apache. Despite our decision to continue to wait, I snuck back the next afternoon and purchased her. I brought Apache into the house hidden inside my jacket as I wanted her to be a surprise (actually, I was fearful Apache and I would be looking for another place to live, ha ha). Our FIVE other dogs were not fooled. Apache responded by jumping out of my jacket and the other dogs immediately gave chase. At that instant, Apache became a tenured member of 'the pack' and the rest is history. Apache loves to pose for pictures. Wishbone has nothing on her!

Cute Jack
by: Jack lover time 3

Your little Jack is so cute. We have 3 Jacks. She is really adorable. My Jacks would never pose like that in one place. You must be the dog whisperer to teach her that. Smiles!

Hi!

I don't know how to do the pet of the month. Someone else said that as well. I have some really good shots of her watching baseball from the recliner. She knows she's cute!

I am so glad you posted that picture of Apache. It is a real winner. You need to put it in the picture of the month contest. We miss you. Get back to Tucson soon. Spring training baseball is not he same without you. We have so many teams here now. I vote for Apache as pet of the month. yummy yum yum! ~Mich

thank you
by: April

thank you for the advice and directions to the beach. You are very lucky living that close. My pooches would love going there everyday. You must have some spoiled dogs. :) We will be in the area at the end of this month. We love coming down there for the winter. The weather is so warm and nice.

directions
by: Anonymous

thanks for the compliment about Apache April. Since I do not know where you are coming from I will start from Brownsville. Get off Boca Chica Blvd from 77 and head east til you run into the ocean. It's that easy. You will go through a border patrol check point (only stop when coming back the other way). I live 1.5 miles from there so let me pass, ha ha. It's about 12 miles from the border patrol checkpoint. This is IMPORTANT, when you get to the beach, go LEFT not right. Right heads to the Mexican border (2 miles) and it's dangerous right now. Right heads to the jetties (4 miles of beach driving). Go to those. They are an awesome place for dogs. We go there almost daily. The jetties look across the ship channel to south padre island. Hope this helps. Its truly once of the nicest beaches in the country. NO RULES!

beach
by: April Segthmore

I love beaches where the dogs can be off the leash. Would you mind giving me directions to this beach you poke of? There are very few beaches like that anywhere. Dog beach in San Diego is one. You are lucky to live so close to one. I have a Jack and a German. They would love it. Your jack is so darn cute. You should enter her into a photo contest.

Hi!
by: Scott Reid

Hi Sue! I do remember you and your 3 Jacks. How could I forget! Did your male get over his sunburn? I am lucky Apache has black around her eyes like a football player. Some Jacks don't (as u know). I don't live far from the island so if you get to town, give me a shout and I will bring the pack down to the beach. There is a closer beach right up the road from me. I will show you that one. Your jacks will love it. NO leash laws.

Hi!
by: Sizzilin Sue

I met you and your jack on south padre island about a year ago. You were jogging with her and the border collie and the cattle dog. I remember you because of Apache. I was the one with the 3 Jacks so I know you remember me! When I saw her picture I knew right away that it was her. So funny that we meet again and on a Jack Russel site. Next time I am down on padre lets get some drinks or something. I will be staying at the KOA there in February. Hope to see you guys again.

Thanks for the comment/question. We have a border collie, an Australian cattle dog (blue healer), a boxer, a yellow lab/german shepard, and a Mexican red wolf. Needless to say, Apache has her hands full.
