3 legged hop?

My Jack Russell is just under 5 months old and he started a three legged hop. At first we thought his hind leg was asleep or the result of some awkward sleeping position but the next morning he still is hopping. He generally walks on all fours but displays some three legged hopping. Should we be concerned?
